Based in Devon, I provide expert therapeutic interventions to help children navigate complex emotional challenges, and successfully re-engage with their learning environment.
My practice is firmly child-centred, focusing on establishing a playful, secure, and trusting therapeutic relationship. I integrate creative arts and narrative therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to match each child’s natural mode of self-expression. This provides a structured space for them to safely explore their histories, identities, and future potential.
Whether you are a Devon SENDCO looking to enhance your school’s graduated response through the Experts at Hand model, or a parent seeking dedicated, professional support for your child, I collaborate closely with you to build a robust, caring circle of support around the child.
A decade of post-qualification practice spanning mainstream schools, nurseries, and specialized therapeutic provisions for children with severe emotional and behavioral needs.
In line with Experts at Hand goals, I provide trauma-informed insights, coaching, and strategic advice to SENDCOs, teachers, and inclusion teams to build long-term capacity within school environments.
Registered with the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT), ensuring the highest standards of safety, supervision, and safeguarding.
Prior to qualifying as a Play Therapist I had various roles supporting children and families across early years education, Forest Schools, and pedagogy research. My approach aligns directly with the national ‘Experts at Hand’ framework. I work alongside schools and families to deliver early, evidence-based specialist support to help children thrive. Children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically when they feel secure and understood.
I have an enhanced DBS and I am on the Update Service.
