I am Tim Hudson, a BAPT registered Play Therapist and a BACP registered Nature Allied Psychotherapist living in Devon. I am passionate about my work and enjoy the process of building a healing relationship. I have worked with children and families all my adult life, in educational settings and wellbeing roles and I have ten years experience as a therapist.
I am happiest outdoors. Whether I am bird watching, fly-fishing or walking across Dartmoor, nature is where I recharge. This deep, personal connection with the natural world shapes who I am and allows me to offer a grounded, authentic presence to my clients.
Tim’s gentle, empathetic and grounded approach really connected with and helped our son, who looked forward to their sessions.
Tim’s unwavering belief in every child’s potential has enabled many children to overcome significant adverse childhood experiences and achieve outcomes that once seemed beyond their reach. Through his guidance, children have developed into resilient, confident and successful young people who embrace life with optimism, purpose and a genuine belief in their own abilities. His impact extends across every aspect of their development—socially, emotionally and academically—fundamentally improving their life chances.
A podcast about a school group I co-ran taking children to Epping Forest. I speak about the well-being opportunities offered by nature connection activities.
This project worked to ensure that all our children could engage in high quality outdoor learning experiences focussed on Physical and Environmental Science.
This work focussed on using funding secured through the North East London NHS CCG and Redbridge CAMHS Partnership to support the designing and delivery of a programme to provide children and families with weekly access to a Play Therapist, and Play Therapy sessions.
We identified key priorities of supporting our children’s mental well-being, stress regulation systems, and social engagement systems.
